How to Know if You Are a Self-Help Addict

For a long time, I was addicted to self-help books. As someone who has completely and fully recovered from this way of being, I’d like to share some thoughts with you here.
The self-help addiction can manifest itself in many different ways. Here are a few hints that you may need some help in this area:
- Reading lots and lots of self-help books (usually more than one at the same time!)
- Attending seminars, workshops, presentations, and classes hoping that the final piece will miraculously fall into place and help you make sense of your entire existence
- Stalking the self-help, psychology, religion, and new age aisles of book stores on a regular basis
- Indulging frequently in rescue fantasies
If any of these things seem familiar to you…
- Recognize that you have an opportunity for learning, growth, and development.
- Recognize that you are good enough, worthy enough, smart enough, and wise enough.
- Set your intention to love yourself completely no matter what.
As a former self-help junkie, I understand what you are going through. Here’s what I want to share with you. The object of the addict’s craving in this particular addiction is “The Missing Piece.” I’m going to tell you one of the biggest secrets on the planet.
You Are The Missing Piece That You Have Been Looking For!
As you become more and more of who you really are, doing more and more of what you truly love to do, you will discover that you have immediate access to everything you need to know each and every moment. Your own truth will become visible to you. Your own goodness will become clearer. And the world will reflect back to you your incredible magnificence, because you are absolutely magnificent. Believe it! Come to know it, and you will change the world, just by being who you really and truly are. I love you, and I believe in you because we are one!
