What is Spiritual Dynamics Coaching?
Spiritual Dynamics Coaching is a business name that describes very generally and succinctly the basis for the work that I do with people. To make a really long story, short, I have been on a conscious spiritual quest for over 20 years due to some very interesting events in my high school and college years that I won’t go into here. These events spurred me to ask questions like:
- Who am I?
- Who is God?
- What makes a human being a human being?
- How does the Universe actually work?
- How is it that some people live their dreams while many do not?
- How can I do what I’m feeling called to do while supporting those I love with the things necessary to life in this society at this time?
- Plus many, many more…
The results of that quest generated particular insights that helped me to discover my own (always-provisional) answers to those questions. One of those “answers” is that the “Ultimate Reality” of the Cosmos is spiritual in nature. This means that the qualities of its energies are different from energies that it has created or is creating.
Another thing that came out of this journey was the understanding that this Ultimate Reality power (AKA God) desired to give of Him-/Her-/It- self to all of those creations made in God’s likeness. And this energy or these energies are a form of power capable of trans forming any person from the inside out if sought out with sincerity.
Dynamics comes from the Greek word dynamis, meaning power or strength. The word dynamics is related to the forces that operate within and across various energetic systems and how they interact with each other to produce specific results.
Also as a trained sociologist and theatre artist, I have always been fascinated by human relationships and behavior. I came to understand that many people for much of their lives live out a paradigm based on fear which creates the huge variety of all kinds of power dynamics that we can see going on between people so much of the time. Ever since I was a very small child, I knew that there had to be a better way for people to interact with each other. I knew this deep down, and part of my quest involved the discovery of a better way to relate to others for the benefit of all life everywhere.
And so Spiritual Dynamics Coaching’s purpose is to help people connect with those powers and energies that will help them transform their lives in all four of the human realms of power:
- Physical
- Mental
- Emotional
- Spiritual
And in their three basic kinds of relationships (in no particular order):
- With God
- With themselves
- With others
How long have you been doing what you do and how did you get to be an expert in the area of personal transformation?
My official coaching practice is very young, less than a year old. And while this is true, I have been on a conscious spiritual quest for more than 20 years now. I have also been practicing the various tools and techniques and methods and disciplines that are integral to the success of my clients for years as well. I have been “coaching” people informally and very naturally ever since high school. I have worked with several different coaches and studied coaching under the Coach Training Alliance to develop my skills. Because I walk the talk in every area of my own life, I am now in a place to share what I have discovered with others in ways that create fast and powerful results (according to how much the client will allow, of course). I have incorporated the best of the best from all of my various coaches, research, and experiences into a powerful program not only for the accomplishment of a specific objective, but for the transformation of one’s life into something unimaginably wonderful.
What does “spiritual” mean to you? Is it about religion, faith, organized religion, new age stuff, what?
In my journey so far, I have discovered that there is a benevolent Ultimate Spiritual Source of Everything Good That Exists. I call this being, God, to keep it short and simple. I have also discovered thus far that this reality has not yet been contained within any religion, sect, cult, dogmatic statements, logical propositions, organized faith community, tradition, personal experience, book, library of books, or any other human creation.
So far, I have, through personal experience that point to the reality of God that that in no way fully describe nor claim to contain God, come to a place where I know that I am completely and totally accepted by God. The only thing that was necessary was for me to accept that acceptance as Paul Tillich would say. The distinction that I make from most of those who speak and write about such things is that I believe I have experienced this acceptance in the form of an energy or energies that have literally changed me and everything about my life forever for the better.
And so to more fully disclose my particular religious/spiritual orientation, I resonate very strongly with the Judeo-Christian traditions. I have also found much truth in other religions, philosophies, and wisdom traditions that I do not see as being in conflict with the core messages found in the various sects and movements that claim to draw their origins from Abraham. I belong to a United Methodist Church near my home in which I am very involved in many different ministries and outreach efforts.
I have no interest in pushing or forcing any particular religious framework on any person. I know that each soul is on its own unique journey to God, and that each and every soul will be cared for by God on that journey. And that God is using every single experience to help draw each and every person closer to God.
I meet people where they are and have the ability to adjust my language to accommodate the needs of my clients. In my experience, I have found mental beliefs to be pretty cheap and easy to acquire. Knowledge at the levels of the heart and soul is a much more reliable and takes conscious effort to develop into certainty. The knowledge gained at those levels, while not complete in and of itself, has (in my experience so far) always been more than sufficient for meeting every moment. I believe that greater revelations are always available to those who seek them out.
While I think it is beneficial to be part of a spiritual or faith community that supports you in your journey and where you have numerous opportunities to serve people out of your gifts, talents, and whole self, it is not required by me or God that anyone join such a community for any reason. If you don’t I just feel that you are missing out on some wonderful opportunties to grow and develop as a human being.
Who are your clients, exactly?
Being in the process of building my new practice, the only things I can say that my current clients have in common are:
- A belief in God
- An openness to applying the Law of Attraction consciously in their lives
- Being at a place in life where they know that they need to make significant changes to achieve a desired result
- Appreciating the point of view that everything is energy
What makes you different from other spiritual and life coaches and spiritual directors?
The things that make me unique include:
- A very inclusive and accepting view of all people and all systems of religion, faith, belief, etc. If an atheist is able to enter the “everything is energy” conversation, I could (in theory) coach that person if they are open to being wrong. If you have to be right about anything, there’s no coach who can help you with that issue until you are open to being wrong, to perceiving new distinctions. If something isn’t working, there are always good reasons. (And no, I don’t have to be right either.)
- An ability to respond creatively and flexibly with circumstances as they present themselves
- A personal faith that is not dependent upon anything except my own spiritual perceptions.
- The combination of using various self-help and energetic clearing techniques, habit replacement strategies, and the development of effective support systems and structures
- I am not bound to any particular religious framework in my service to clients, I serve people out of faith perceptions that cannot be expressed completely in words
- A wide range of life experiences that helps me appreciate where a client is coming from quickly and get to work powerfully and effectively
- A very strong sense of intuition and the ability to apply it in the service of my clients to help accelerate their progress by identifying the energies at work in a particular situation or pattern of circumstances so that they can be cleared to allow desired results to manifest
- A strong ability to interpret life circumstances in service of my clients. Everything that happens “to” you can be interpreted as messages and gifts for your benefit.
What type of personality do you work best with?
I work best with people who are open to new possibilities, people who are able to suspend judgment on something new until they have tried it, and people who are open to trying the same thing they’ve done before, recognizing that they are different now than they were then. People who don’t need to be right all of the time. People who are at a place where they want to recreate their lives in ways that really make sense for them. People who recognize that doing the same thing will continue to generate the same results, and that the only way to achieve something new is to be changed from within. People who are open to the possibility that they are creating their current experiences and that changes within their energy systems can and will change those experiences.
What type of personality do you not work well with?
I do not work well with people who are adamant that they will not release their engagement in what I call the victim-perpetrator dynamic. Living out of this perspective is a addiction, and people who are not willing to allow themselves to forgive themselves, God or others, I cannot help until they are ready to let those patterns go. Everyone’s rock bottom is different. Some people hit it in this life, many wait until the time they leave their bio-bodies to process their limiting patterns. Right now, my focus is helping those who are currently in their bodies. I plan to help people in other dimensions once I leave my bio-body behind.
What results can I expect?
Everyone is different, but here’s what you can generally expect.
- You will see your life, God, other people, and everything from a very different perspective.
- You will have cleared out a lot of stuff that is preventing God from blessing you abundantly
- You will be much more connected to who you really are and what you are passionate about
- You will be healthier and happier
- Others will comment on the changes that are happening with you
- You will be much more effective in your life
- You will make choices based less on your perceptions of other people’s reactions, and more on what will bring you joy and allow you to serve others
OK, I’m ready to do this for myself, but I have a couple of additional questions. Can I call you?
Yes, you may call me directly at 412-856-4129 or e-mail me at billfrase@spiritualdynamicscoaching.com. I’ll be happy to help walk you through the options to see which one would be best for you.
Will I recover the investment I put into this coaching program?
The results you get will be a function of the quality of our co-creative relationship. I will do everything I can to help you make the transformation you desire. As in all coaching I cannot do the work for my clients. I have my own systems for support and accountability, but they are only as good as the effort that my clients make to stay true to their commitments and agreements.
